What is UnShushed! Media?

UnShushed! Media is a film and media company creating original sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and Afrofuturist content. We produce films, audio stories, immersive experiences, and run festivals and workshops dedicated to elevating Black women and emerging filmmakers.

What does “Black speculative” mean?

Black speculative storytelling includes science fiction, fantasy, horror, magical realism, Afrofuturism, and genre-bending works centered on Black characters, creators, and cultural imagination.

Yes. UnShushed! accepts submissions for film festival entries. Submission windows are posted on our website and social media.
