UnShushed! Film Festival Announces Online Screening and Audience Voting for 2025 Program
Washington, DC — December 18, 2025 — UnShushed! Media Company announces the official online screening and audience voting for the UnShushed! Film Festival 2025 program, featuring seven short films by independent filmmakers. The films were previously presented at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library on October 28, 2025, and November 18, 2025.
This special digital edition includes (Sanct)uary Fest x UnShushed! Film Festival 2025, showcasing emerging international filmmakers alongside horror, fantasy, and Southern Gothic films by and about Black women and women over 50 years old. The program centers bold storytelling, social consciousness, and creative risk-taking in contemporary independent cinema.
The online film screening will be available to registered attendees through a private, password-protected platform. Viewers may watch the films at their own pace and participate in audience voting for two festival awards:

UnShushed! Media Company emphasizes transparency and equity in its evaluation process. The 2025 online voting system invites audiences to meaningfully engage with the films while ensuring each selection receives equal consideration.
Award winners will be announced during the online awards event on December 23, 2025. All participating filmmakers will be formally recognized for their artistic contributions and the powerful stories they bring to the screen.
